With all of them, together with our best wishes for their persons and their ministry, we also share the following invocation –  which is always very relevant to our consecrated lives – of Pope Francis: ‘May you always know how to exercise authority by accompanying, understanding, helping and loving; by embracing every man and every woman, especially people who feel alone, excluded, barren, on the existential margins of the human heart. Let us keep our gaze fixed on the Cross: there is found any authority in the Church, where the One who is the Lord becomes a servant to the point of the total gift of himself’ (Pope Francis to those taking part in the plenary assembly of the International Union of Superior Generals, Wednesday 8 May 2013).

This is a propitious opportunity to express at the end of this three-year period to all the Major Superiors who are ending their mandates, and to the members of their Councils, feelings of thankfulness and gratitude for the service of authority, guidance, discernment, animation, support and merciful patience that they have engaged in during these years. We thank them for the cooperation, friendship, welcome and fraternity that they have generously offered to the Order during this period.

Happy Easter of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus!
