Brother Leonardo Grasso a Guest of the Programme ‘Uno mattina estate’

Brother Leonardo Grasso, the Superior of the Camillian community of Acireale and head of the St. Camillus Tent for AIDS Patients in Mangano (Giarre), on 5 June was a guest of the programme ‘Uno mattina estate’ broadcast by Rai1.

After his appearance some weeks ago on ‘La vita in diretta’ (again on Rai1), Brother Leonardo yesterday as well brought his testimony to TV, narrating his history and the radical change in his life. As a real estate agent with an intense social life far from faith, Leonardo at the age of fifty decided to put everything aside in order to dedicate himself first to voluntary work and then in an exclusive way to his Camillian vocation, becoming a brother.

“I decided to think about other people and not about myself”, he observed in front of the viewers of the first national television channel, underlining how the worthy work of the Camillians for sick people was fully in line with his intentions.

For twenty years Brother Leonardo has cared for AIDS patients. “It is never too late to change”, was his conclusion, “my story shows that you can do this at any age”.
