In the Footsteps of St. Camillus: on a Pilgrimage for the Fourth Centenary

IMG_0047 copiaA journey in the footsteps of St. Camillus de Lellis.
This initiative was undertaken by Br. Luca Perletti, former General Secretary of the Order of the Ministers of the Sick: a long pilgrimage which from San Giovanni Rotondo and the Valle dell’Inferno, places of the conversion of the ‘Giant of Charity’, led him to Rome, where Camillus went up to heaven, passing by way of Bucchianico, the town where Camillus was born, specifically on 14 July last, the day when the Camillian Jubilee Year was officially opened.
A journey engaged in out of devotion, a spiritual search, living moments of prayer, of joy, of suffering and solidarity. Indeed there were many encounters on his journey, as there were reflections which sprung from them. This is why Br. Luca decided to bring together these stories, but above all else his fresh impressions, in a diary which starting tomorrow and for the whole of the month of August we will share with you.
On Tuesday and Friday the travel notes written continuously by Br. Luca together with the photographs taken during the journey will be published on the site of the fourth centenary.
