Indonesia: Camillians celebrating for St Camillus

On July 14th, on the feast of St. Camillus, despite the presence of Covid 19 in our island of Flores, the young Camillian community of Maumere celebrated with joy and solemnity some significant events: admission of 12 candidates to the Novitiate, including 2 candidates from Pakistan; the first profession of 5 novices; the renewal of vows of 17 religious; perpetual profession of one religious; and the official opening of the new Novitiate house in Kupang, island of Timor.

Without doubt, the Delegation feels blessed for the good work accomplished in nearly 12 years of presence in the great Asian Muslim country.  The main objective of the Delegation from the beginning has been, and still is, the promotion and formation of candidates to follow the charism of charity of St. Camillus.  This contributes to realize once again, the dream of St. Camillus to see his Institute spread one day throughout the world.

With these positive events, the delegation feels happy, and dreams of being able to count on similar new events of growth in the coming years for the development of new missionary and Camillian activities in the country and in Asia.
