MADRID eXCHANGE

It is a forum of all directors of the Camillian pastoral health centers and universities and the Camillian physicians in Madrid. Its main goal is to establish and strengthen cooperation among Camillian centers of formation for medicine and pastoral healthcare for the promotion of health and protection of the right to access to health care.

Goal:   To establish and strengthen cooperation among Camillian centers of formation for medicine and pastoral healthcare for the promotion of health and protection of the right to access to healthcare.

Objectives:

To get to know the valuable services offered by the Camillian centers of formation and its strengths.

To establish a framework of cooperation in the field of research, studies and special formation on health and pastoral healthcare valuing our institutions and experts in this field.

To understand the specific needs that emerge from the local area in which one lives (inculturation of the charism) in order to achieve a more vital and effective adherence to the real needs of the person.

To engage our centers in responding to the new challenges of the time particularly in situations of emergency and disaster by building and strengthening resiliency of the most vulnerable populace and communities.

 

Main Program of Activities

Presentation of the Camillian centers of formation for health and pastoral health.
Reflections on relevant themes in the world of health such as:
Ensuring Access to Healthcare to the most vulnerable populace
Nature, Historical Perspective and the new Challenges of the Camillian centers of formation
Healing, its social, ethical and anthropological aspects

Round table discussions and group work of the following:
directors of pastoral health centers (engage in formation of healthcare personnel)
directors of colleges and universities (engage in research and studies of higher learnings)
physicians (engage in the delivery of healthcare services)
