Love never ends…!!! Entry to the Novitiate: St. Camillus Province – India

The world is beaten with the wave of COVID-19 pandemic and people sufferings are increasing on indescribable phase. However, there is great hope and meaning in the legacy of Charity to the Sick, which St. Camillus was gifted by God, to its fullness, to be lived and expressed as means of meaningful witness to the merciful love of Christ for the sick. St. Camillus ardently called such occasions as ‘festival of charity.’ The unique inspiration and motivation for the life of St. Therese of Lisieux was, ‘My vocation is Love’ and the sublime inspiration of St. Camillus’s vocation was, ‘the Charity to the sick’, because they are ‘our lords and masters.’ The words of Jesus, rejuvenated his spirit in the charity to the sick as it was being said to him often, “… just as you did it one of the least of these who are members of my family you have did it to me.” (St. Mathew: 25: 40) The blissful revelation of the crucifix, “this not your work but mine.”  And these are God’s revelation of love in human persons, after the One and sublime revelation of love in the person of Jesus. Therefore, God has gifted us vocation to communicate to the world as people suffer, that “LOVE NEVER ENDS” (1. Cor. 13:8) The St. Camillus province – India has received the grace of vocation and to begin the Novitiate for the year of 2021 -22, with nine novices. The entry to the novitiate was organized, on 30th of April -2021, in the community of Snehadaan and Fr. Jaison Narikushyil, superior of the community, celebrated the Eucharist, formally welcomed us to the novitiate on behalf of Fr. Baby Ellickal, our provincial.  During the homily Fr. Jaison reminded us that novitiate journey is a unique experience in our life. And he stressed the importance of the love of the Word of God and the study of the Life of St. Camillus as well as the Order of the Ministers of the Infirm, will deepen our vocation of love in the person of Jesus and to consecrate ourselves for love of the sick, in exercising the charism of the sick in our Order. We believe in the Divine Love, that creates, gives life, heals and saves, has called to us to communicate to the people who suffer, that LOVE NEVER ENDS!!!
