Ordinations in Nairobi

This year in Kenya we have had four ordinations: one for the priesthood and three for the deaconate. The ceremony took place at the St. Camillus Seminary of Nairobi on 17 February last. The ordaining bishop was His Excellency Msgr. Philip Anyolo, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi. The deacon David Kiarie Gakunga was ordained a priest and Paul Njoroge Kamau, Pius Mulinge Musyoki and Evans Juma Wekesa were ordained deacons. The Delegate Superior Fr. Domenic Mwanzia and the First Councillor Fr. Reauben Njagi concelebrated at the event, in the presence of about twenty confreres and diocesan priests who were friends of the religious being ordained.

The relatives of those being ordained were many in number and they were accompanied by friends and parishioners. For all of them there was a great deal of joy, made even happier by music, food and drinks.
