The St. Camillus-Forlanini Hospital Celebrates the ‘Giant of Charity’

violoncelloThe St. Camillus-Forlanini Hospital of Rome, on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the death of St. Camillus de Lellis, will celebrate the patron saint of the sick, from whom it also takes its name, with a series of initiatives, beginning this evening and continuing until 23 June next.

Today, at 18.00, these initiatives will begin with a concert of the ‘ensemble of cellos’ of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome conducted by Maestro Maurizio Massarelli. This is an event that forms of a part of the calendar of ‘Santa Cecilia Plays to St. Camillus’. For the occasion, the official hymn of the Ministers of the Sick, ‘In Heaven’, will also be performed in its new musical form by the students of the conservatory.
