Province of Benin-Togo : Temporary and Perpetual Profession of Vows

“Consecrated life is a prophecy; it is, using a symbol dear to Pope Francis, like water which must flow so as not to stagnate.” People who have the desire to consecrate themselves to the Lord are always on a journey in search of what God wants of them. It is undoubtedly expressed in their hymn of consecration: “God of infinite Mercy, it pleased you to call me to serve you in the sick.” Daniel LOKO, Ethéolde KPOTOEDO, Jean -Pierre LANKLOUNON professed their temporary vows, and Pacôme DASSOU and Aurlus Aepinus ADJIBODOU their perpetual vows, on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the Saint Camille Formation House in Sègbanou. In addition to this noble step towards the Lord, this day was memorable for the entire Province of Benin-Togo, because Father Léon ELEGBEROU celebrated his 25th anniversary of religious profession.

Indeed, Eucharistic celebration witnessed the sumptuous presence of around forty Priests, including Fr. Karl Jacques Adéyèmi ABATHAN, the provincial superior (president of the celebration), Fr. Hubert GOUDJINOU, Fr. Léon, Fr. Epiphane NAYETON (Episcopal Vicar responsible for consecrated life in the archdiocese of Cotonou) and Fr. Benjamin FAGNINOU (Superior of the House of Formation).
